My Delicious Brownie Recipe

(Disclaimer: As with the last post, I am importing some of them from my previous blog simply because I loved writing them and certainly enjoy reading them myself. They are life cherished little memories for me. This one was originally published on 25th March, 2017. Hope you like it!)

The ingredients you will need:

1. 2 large eggs
2. ½ cup oil/ butter (I use vegetable oil)
3. ½ cup sugar
4. 1 cup flour
5. ¼ teaspoon baking powder
6. ¼ teaspoon baking soda
7. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
8. Cocoa powder (as much as you want. I like to put loads because I like my brownies quite dark and chocolatey)
9. A pinch of salt
10. A dash of milk (if necessary)

Procedure:

1. First mix all the liquid ingredients i.e. eggs and oil in a pot. Then mix all the dry ingredients in a separate pot. Mix these two mixtures together until they form a homogeneous paste. If the paste feels too thick, add a bit of milk to make it a little less dense.
2. Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
3. Grease a square mould and pour the prepared mixture in it.
4. Close the oven and let it sit there for 20 minutes.
5. Check if the mixture is properly baked, if not, let it stay in the oven for another 2-3 minutes.
6. When finally cooked, take out the pot and let it cool in room temperature.
7. Cut slices to make the brownies of your desired shape and decorate them however you please.

I like to make brownies whenever I’m home because they are so easy to make in such a small amount of time and they taste heavenly too. I like to share them with my family whenever all of my siblings are home and they taste especially good with the evening tea. As Ramzaan is coming soon, brownies can make a very suitable snack for aftaari too. That is when I first tried to make them anyway two years back. The recipe I used to make them for the first time was a slightly different one. I altered it because as you make something again and again you figure out what works best for you. The recipe that I am sharing with you is the one that I am going to stick with because it has by far proven to be the best one.  I enjoy baking very much because I find it to be very therapeutic and you can always play around with ingredients and be creative and come up with so many amazing recipes. I hope you enjoyed the post about brownies as much I as enjoyed baking and then eating them. See you soon! :)
